Serie A: Como beat Sassuolo 2-0, climb to fourth after Man Utd thrashing

Como replicated their outstanding Champions League triumph over Manchester United by defeating Sassuolo 2-0 in Serie A on Saturday. Anastasios Douvikas was the standout performer, netting twice within an 11-minute span. This victory propelled Como to fourth place in the standings, only two points behind early leaders Inter Milan, who will face Fiorentina on Sunday.

The Greek striker has been in fine form, scoring five goals in his past four outings and a total of eight in all competitions this season. Como, who secured their European debut last season, had previously demolished Manchester United 4-1 in the Champions League earlier in the week. Later on Saturday, Roma aimed to top the table by taking on Napoli at home, while Lazio also sought to ascend to the summit with a match against Parma at their own stadium.
