Ramayana 2 Vs Spirit: Ranbir Kapoor Informed Sandeep Reddy Vanga About Sequel's Delay, Helping Prabhas-Starrer Secure Diwali 2027 Release: Report

Prabhas' film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, will now launch during Diwali 2027, replacing its initially planned March 5, 2027, release date. Ramayana: Part 2, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi, and Rakul Preet Singh, is also set to hit theaters during Diwali 2027, potentially sparking a movie box office battle.

Amid rumors of a Ramayana 2 release delay, speculations have arisen that the film might be pushed back to 2028. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Ranbir Kapoor kept his friend and Animal director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, informed about the possible delay after receiving official confirmation.

Vanga swiftly decided to announce Spirit's Diwali 2027 release date once he learned about the potential postponement of Ramayana: Part 2. The director and Vanga, known for their successful collaboration on Animal, moved quickly to secure the date before anyone else claimed it. Bhushan Kumar, a supporter of Vanga, agreed with the decision, and both finalized the new release date, the source stated.

The official confirmation of Ramayana 2's delayed release date remains pending. It is anticipated that the new date will be revealed soon, possibly through a post-credits scene in the Ramayana: Part 1 film, scheduled for Diwali.
