German police have detained a suspect in connection with a fire at Adolf Hitler's mountain retreat, the Eagle's Nest, located in the Bavarian Alps. The building, once a heavily fortified country residence used by Hitler and his companion Eva Braun, was found "completely ablaze" by firefighters on Friday evening at an altitude of 1,834 meters. Emergency services arrived at the scene around 9:52 PM, but faced challenges due to the remote location. The criminal police investigation is currently ongoing.
