Fallout Day 2026: Every Big Announcement from Bethesda’s Fan Event

Fallout Day, a five-day extravaganza celebrating the Fallout franchise, concluded on Friday after a week of announcements and fan celebrations. Bethesda Softworks, the publisher behind the popular post-apocalyptic series, had plenty to share with Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and Fallout Shelter fans. Several titles would receive updates, including a new pet-related feature for Fallout Shelter later this year and pets in Fallout 76.

These pets would no longer be restricted to campgrounds, allowing players to take them on adventures. Each pet species, including dogs, cats, Radhogs, and Deathclaws, would offer unique benefits. Dogs could locate medical supplies, cats would provide better bait for fishing, and Radhogs would sniff out radioactive materials. Deathclaws would aid in clearing infestations and grant legendary weapons.

Players could level up their pets to gain perks, improving their capabilities. For Fallout 4, Bethesda revealed Verified Creations developed with the help of Bethesda Game Studios. These creations showcase community ideas and keep the player base engaged. Fallout 76 saw a lighting, terrain, and weather update in Skyline Valley. Additionally, the game celebrated its milestone of reaching 25 million players.

Meanwhile, Prime Video hosted a Fallout-themed competition inspired by Fallout Shelter, to be produced by Studio Lambert and Kilter Films. Fallout Shelter: The Experiment, set to release on Prime Video on January 13, 2027, will also offer fans a new experience. Beyond the games, Bethesda Softworks partnered with various companies and organizations for promotions, including a planned Fallout Day 2027 in Washington, DC for the franchise's 30th anniversary celebration.
