De Zerbi hails ‘complete’ Spurs after historic win at Chelsea
Roberto De Zerbi has lifted Tottenham’s fortunes with back-to-back wins after a six-game winless league run raised fears of another relegation battle.
Tottenham's head coach Roberto De Zerbi hailed his team's historic 2-0 victory over London rivals Chelsea on Saturday, describing it as a moment of unity and improvement for the players and the club. The win marked Tottenham's second Premier League triumph at Stamford Bridge in 36 years, the first since 2018. De Zerbi's men finally broke their six-game winless start to the season, thanks to an own goal by Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders and a late goal from Mathys Tel after Cole Palmer was sent off.
De Zerbi emphasized the team's improved mentality and relationships, saying they are working to change the club's recent history. Despite Chelsea's fourth-place finish, they remain a work in progress after three league losses in their first season.
