'Atiku ran to Tinubu for help when he chased out of PDP' – Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima has criticized presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress, ADC. During the All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign flag-off in Kaduna, Shettima alleged that Atiku had fled the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, seeking refuge with President Bola Tinubu, the Lion of Bourdillon, when he faced harassment there.

Shettima recounted how Atiku ran to Tinubu for political survival after being chased out of the PDP. The Vice President pointed out that Atiku had forgotten how Tinubu had supported him when he was politically stranded after his dispute with former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the Action Congress, AC. Shettima deemed it ungrateful for Atiku to now seek to challenge his former benefactor in the 2027 general election, asserting that President Tinubu should be allowed to complete his term.
