2027: North solidly behind you - Yari tells Tinubu

Senator Abdulaziz Yari, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), has expressed the unwavering support of Northern political leaders, traditional rulers, and Islamic clerics for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027. This assurance was given during the flag-off of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna, where Tinubu and Northern state governors were present.

Yari emphasized that the party had been actively engaging influential figures across the region to secure their backing of Tinubu, emphasizing continuity and peace as key reasons for their support. He stated that discussions were held with traditional rulers, ulama, and imams to underscore the importance of Tinubu's return to office for the country's stability and unity.

Yari confirmed that key political figures in the North had convened for the campaign launch, expressing confidence that Northern Nigeria would unequivocally support Tinubu in the upcoming election on January 16, 2027. He described Kaduna as the spiritual epicenter of politics in Northern Nigeria, highlighting the significance of the presence of governors from the region.

Yari praised Tinubu's administration, acknowledging the positive impact of his policies on key economic indicators since taking office. He cited specific examples such as the removal of the petrol subsidy and adjustments in the exchange rate as instances of the administration's reform efforts.
