2027: North will give Tinubu 100 percent support – Yari

Abdulaziz Yari, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has pledged full backing from northern Nigeria for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election. During the APC presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna, Yari assured Tinubu that the campaign council would mobilise support from various influential stakeholders in the North, including traditional rulers, Islamic scholars, and imams.

Yari declared that "Northern Nigeria is 100% yours, insha Allah," and stated that they would communicate the government's policies and achievements to Nigerians, particularly in the northern region. He emphasized that engagements with traditional and religious leaders would help explain the administration's programs and garner support for Tinubu's re-election bid.

Additionally, Yari defended the government's relationship with farmers, refuting allegations of neglect and reassuring that the administration was committed to addressing their concerns. He also highlighted economic progress under Tinubu's administration, citing improvements in the foreign exchange market, increases in foreign reserves, and a better trade balance as evidence of the government's success.
