PCB Aligns National T20 Tournaments With PSL 12 Talent Search

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has coordinated its domestic cricket calendar with the pre-season schedule of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to streamline the progression of emerging cricketers into franchise cricket. The National T20 Gold and Silver tournaments will act as key identification events preceding the PSL 12 Player Auction, set for January 23, 2027.

These competitions provide a clear route for top domestic players to gain attention from PSL franchises, potentially leading to national team consideration. This initiative is part of the PCB's broader strategy to fortify Pakistan's cricketing talent pool by linking domestic competitions with the country's top T20 league. PSL 12 will comprise eight franchises and will take place from March 18 to May 2, 2027, featuring 44 matches across five to six venues.

The process for signing players is already in motion, with direct signings open until November 23, 2026. Each franchise may sign one marquee player who did not participate in the previous two PSL editions. Further details regarding the domestic tournaments and the upcoming PSL auction are anticipated to be disclosed in the near future.
