I didn’t endorse Adamawa LP gov candidate — Wike

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has refuted allegations that he endorsed Labour Party gubernatorial candidate Ishaku Abbo in Adamawa State. The claim, which circulated on social media, was labeled as "fake" by Wike's spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, in a statement released on Friday. Wike explicitly denied any connection to the Labour Party or its candidates in the state, stating that he has no relationship with them.

The denial came after a social media post allegedly made by Wike urged Adamawa residents to make informed voting decisions, suggesting Ishaku Abbo as the most suitable candidate to lead the state. However, Wike firmly rejected these claims, emphasizing that he had neither endorsed Abbo nor any Labour Party candidate in Adamawa. He urged residents to disregard the false report and asserted that he would personally announce his political support for a candidate when he decides to do so.
