Louisville basketball wins exhibition at Kansas. Any questions?
Time for a 2026-27 season preview edition of our Louisville basketball mailbag. Any questions after Pat Kelsey's Cards won an exhibition at Kansas?
Louisville basketball secured a 89-83 exhibition win against No. 18 Kansas on October 21 at Allen Fieldhouse. The victory, while insignificant in terms of the Cardinals' overall record and NCAA Tournament prospects, carries immense significance for the team. Freshman Obinna Ekezie Jr. highlighted the team's progress since the start of the season, stating that the game confirmed their hard work and readiness for high-pressure situations.
Coach Pat Kelsey, reflecting on the result, emphasized that such a game reveals a lot about the team's abilities. The win comes after a season marred by a 1-9 record in Quad 1A games. Louisville fans can submit questions about the game and its implications for the upcoming 2026-27 season through various channels.
