TSG Hoffenheim aim to secure their first Europa League points of the campaign as they welcome Lyon to SNP Arena. Christian Ilzer's side suffered losses to CFI Crete and Beşiktaş in the league phase, while winning their first two games. Nathan De Cat, Albian Hajdari, and Patrick Wimmer remain absent for the hosts, who hope to capitalize on their weekend win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Ilzer made several lineup changes to manage fixture congestion. Lyon, currently leaders of Ligue 1, fielded Corentin Tolisso, Julien Duranville, and Moussa Niakhaté in their squad. Loïs Openda is sidelined due to injury. Below are the confirmed lineups for the Europa League match between Hoffenheim and Lyon.
