BlueStone Slips Into ₹4.4 Cr Loss In Q2, Revenue Jumps 45% YoY

Omnichannel jewelry retailer BlueStone experienced a financial setback in the second quarter of FY27, recording a consolidated net loss of ₹4.4 Cr, compared to a net profit of ₹6 Cr in the previous quarter. This was a significant improvement from the ₹52.1 Cr loss incurred in the same quarter a year ago. Despite the loss, BlueStone's operating revenue surged by 45% to ₹745 Cr, up from ₹513.6 Cr in Q2 FY26. On a sequential basis, revenue grew by 1.1% from ₹736.8 Cr.

In total, BlueStone's income for the September quarter amounted to ₹769.4 Cr, including other income of ₹24.4 Cr. However, total expenses rose by 34% year-over-year and 3.7% quarter-over-quarter to ₹772.4 Cr. The company's board authorized raising up to ₹300 Cr through non-convertible debentures (NCDs) to address existing debt and fund capital expenditure, working capital, and general corporate needs.

BlueStone's store network continued to expand, ending September with 379 stores across 146 cities. During the past year, the company added 68 stores and entered 19 more cities, all in Tier II and III markets. The store count had increased from 352 at the end of June. By the end of the quarter, BlueStone had reached a customer base of 1 Mn, up 19.3% year-over-year, with repeat customers contributing 56.3% of quarterly revenue. Same-store sales grew 28% year-over-year, while operating revenue increased by 43.9% to ₹738.1 Cr.
