iOS 27.2 is coming next week and brings two new features for Apple TV subscribers. Here’s what’s new. more…
Apple TV subscribers will soon benefit from two new features with the upcoming release of iOS 27.2. The most notable addition is the introduction of user profiles across iPhone and iPad platforms, a feature currently exclusive to tvOS. This change allows users to sync their playback history, watch queues, and personalized recommendations across all their Apple devices. For parents, this new feature also enables the creation of child-friendly profiles that restrict content to age-appropriate Apple TV programming.
In conjunction with the profile expansion, Apple has introduced a range of new profile image options in iOS 27.2. Fans of Apple TV's kids' series can now choose characters from beloved shows like The Snoopy Show, Frog and Toad, and Stillwater as their profile picture. Looking ahead, Apple is also making strides in accessibility by officially supporting sign language on select movies and shows.
With iOS 27.2, users can opt to enable either American Sign Language (ASL) or British Sign Language (BSL) by navigating to Settings > Apps > TV > Sign Language. While the initial selection of titles supporting sign language remains undisclosed, it's a welcome addition to Apple TV's inclusive offerings.
