'We don't want you!': Knicks fans erupt with daunting LeBron James chant vs. 76ers
Knicks fans made it loud and clear that LeBron James and the 76ers were unwelcome at MSG.
The New York Knicks have finally achieved a momentous victory after 53 years of frustration, as they clinched the NBA championship banner at Madison Square Garden. However, their celebratory night was marred by the presence of their AFC East rivals, the Philadelphia 76ers, led by NBA superstar LeBron James. The 76ers' star, alongside Jaylen Brown and Joel Embiid, quickly became the subject of disdain from Knicks fans during their home games.
During a crucial moment of the game, the 76ers star was at the free-throw line, and the Knicks' fans erupted with a resounding chant – "We don't want you!" – directed at LeBron James. This chant was aimed at distracting the veteran player, as the fans aimed to spoil his special night. The atmosphere at Madison Square Garden was electric as the Knicks' crowd chanted "WE DON'T WANT YOU!" at the top of their lungs, visibly affecting James' focus at the charity stripe.
