Here’s How to Apply for a Child’s B-Form Without Mother’s CNIC

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has provided guidance on the process of obtaining a child’s B-Form, also known as the Child Registration Certificate (CRC), when the mother’s Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) is unavailable. According to Public Information Officer Syed Shabahat Ali, the required process hinges on the status of the mother’s CNIC.

If the CNIC has been issued but is currently missing, or if it was never issued, the mother can still be verified through her CNIC number or biometric data, such as fingerprints. However, the absence of a CNIC for the mother complicates the registration process if the parents’ marriage was not registered in official records, and a family number was not assigned.

To remedy this, parents may need to rectify missing identity or family registration records before proceeding with the child’s B-Form application. NADRA also explains the procedure for replacing a lost B-Form. Individuals can obtain a replacement at their nearest NADRA Registration Centre or by applying remotely via the Pak ID mobile application.

The fee for a replacement is Rs50 for the standard category and Rs500 for the executive category. The B-Form is a crucial document for registering children within Pakistan’s national database system.
