Forget 'Days of Thunder 2,' Tom Cruise needs to sequel this 1980s masterpiece instead
Grab your pool cues. It's time to hustle.
Tom Cruise has plans to return to the racetrack in "Days of Thunder 2" after his role in the "Top Gun" series. Cruise has a history of playing iconic roles in sequels, but I believe a sequel to "The Color of Money" would be more fitting for his next project. Released 40 years ago, "The Color of Money" is a lesser-known gem that showcases Cruise's star power and talent.
The film follows Vincent Lauria, played by Cruise, as he learns the art of hustling from the experienced pool player, Eddie Felson, portrayed by Paul Newman. Along the way, they encounter greed, corruption, and intense competition. Cruise's iconic pool scene in "The Color of Money" is a highlight that showcases his signature charisma and intensity.
With "The Color of Money" celebrating its 40th anniversary, now is the perfect time for Cruise to revisit this film and bring his unique style to the sequel.
