Not your Z Fold 8: iPhone Duo hands-on video shows an extremely soft crease
Is this a defect or a feature? All I can say is that the Z Fold 8's crease feels just as robust as the rest of the display.

An iPhone Duo hands-on video has revealed a soft crease area that differs from other foldable displays. Apple's first foldable phone attempts to tackle the crease issue with a unique approach. The video posted by Kang (via Ice Universe) on Weibo shows the screen on and near the crease feels unusually soft compared to the rest of the foldable screen. The Weibo user suggested this effect is not limited to a single unit of the device.
