Fernandes rounds on Carrick after Man Utd humiliation
Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes has blamed head coach Michael Carrick for the tactics that led to an embarrassing 4-1 defeat by Como in the Champions League.
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick faced questions about his future after a devastating 4-1 Champions League defeat at Como. In the 67th minute, Fernandes replaced Carrick, who later apologized to the traveling fans. Fernandes, known for his tactical understanding, criticized Carrick's tactics in an interview with TNT Sports.
He suggested that United's conservative approach allowed Como to gain confidence and score goals. Carrick, however, refused to answer questions about his own position, focusing instead on accepting responsibility for the poor performance. The loss left United 13th in the Premier League, three points above the relegation zone, and without a win in seven games.
