A former presidential candidate of the KOWA Party and numerous former Obi-Datti campaign coordinators have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term. This endorsement, which has been dismissed by the Labour Party and the Obidient Movement, comes after the defectors reviewed the 2023 electioneering campaign and assessed the current administration.
The group, known as Batified Obidients for Tinubu-Shettima 2027, stated that their decision to switch allegiance to the All Progressives Congress was based on their experiences during the 2023 campaign. They declared their support at a media briefing in Abuja, emphasizing that their choice is not intended to reopen old political divisions but to chart a new course for the upcoming 2027 general election.
