US envoys Witkoff, Kushner to take part in Ukraine talks in Oslo: Norway

U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are scheduled to attend talks in Oslo on Tuesday, alongside Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leaders of Norway and Finland, according to Norway's government. Ukraine requested the participation of the U.S. special envoys in the meetings, which Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store welcomed.

Witkoff will join the discussions in person, while Kushner will contribute remotely. Store and Finnish President Alexander Stubb will also attend the talks. Diplomatic efforts have been ongoing in various countries, and Norway and Finland are content to continue this work. The goal is to redirect diplomatic efforts towards a more productive course, as stated by Store.

During his visit to Oslo, Zelenskyy will meet with Norway's king and pay a visit to parliament. Earlier, news outlet Axios reported, based on an anonymous U.S. official, that Witkoff intends to travel to Russia following the Oslo meeting, where he hopes to meet with President Vladimir Putin and present ideas.
