San Pedro children take on secret mission during nocturnal library adventure

Children in San Pedro del Pinatar recently embarked on a thrilling adventure through the town's municipal library, turning it into a secret mission to save the library before sunrise. This unique Library Day event, organized by the Va de Cuentos association, challenged young book lovers to solve puzzles, enjoy storytelling, and complete literary riddles as 'Secret Library Guards'.

The nocturnal activity, part of the town council's cultural programme, encouraged teamwork, imagination, and a love for reading among participants. Each child received a badge recognizing their role in protecting the library's stories. The experience concluded with a final reading challenge and a message to the mayor, Pedro Javier Sánchez, emphasizing the importance of libraries as places of imagination, learning, and connection.

A second adventure is planned for another library, ensuring more children can participate in this magical night of literary exploration.
