Neptune Group Welcomes “NIKOS TRAVLOS”

The Neptune Group has received the newly constructed "NIKOS TRAVLOS" vessel at the Fujian Mawei shipyard in China. This marks the second addition to the company's expanded Genesis Project, a strategic fleet renewal and modernization program involving advanced Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs). The Genesis Project aims to bolster Neptune's integrated automotive logistics services, encompassing sea transport, land-based, and port services.

The "NIKOS TRAVLOS" is equipped with an LNG dual-fuel propulsion system, enabling the vessel to operate on both liquefied natural gas (LNG) and conventional fuels. This technology provides greater flexibility in fuel usage and the potential for reduced emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants, contingent on the fuel and operating conditions. The investment in this vessel aligns with Neptune's goals to enhance its fleet's environmental and operational performance while augmenting its transport capacity.

Distinctive of the "NIKOS TRAVLOS" is the moustache adorning its bow, a symbolic tribute to the company's founder, Nikos Travlos. During the delivery ceremony, Neptune Group President Melina Travlou expressed deep emotion, likening the moment to seeing her father again. She emphasized the vessel's significance as a symbol of the company's future, stating that NIKOS TRAVLOS embodies Neptune's vision for the future, prioritizing safety, responsibility, and continuous development.

The President also highlighted the vessel's bow, adorned with a moustache in memory of her father, noting the pride he would feel from observing the company's progress. Melina Travlou reaffirmed the group's commitment to its founder's values of integrity, responsibility, and the pursuit of progress, connecting its historical journey with its future endeavors through this investment in the "NIKOS TRAVLOS".
