'Following Orders' lockbox code location in Modern Warfare 4

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, the "Following Orders" mission requires players to locate the lockbox code to open a container in a first family's small side bedroom. As a North Korean soldier, the player must interrogate innocent civilians, making threats when necessary. This is the only locked container in the mission, and opening it proves crucial for obtaining vital information.

To find the code, players must inspect a note in the leftmost cupboard in the pantry, titled "baekseolgi-tteok recipe." The note lists four ingredients with different quantities and explicitly instructs players to forget the salt during preparation. Although the lockbox requires a three-digit code, the note provides a four-digit number. The actual code required is 214.

Once the code is entered, the lockbox contains medicine considered contraband in North Korea. While it's possible to gather information from the husband without the medicine, having it makes the task much easier. After collecting the medicine, players should ask the husband about the defector's whereabouts, who has fled into an abandoned house next door. Once the husband leaves, the player's mission in that house is complete, and the work continues next door.
