This Adorable LEGO Arcade Machine Set Is on Sale (and Retiring Soon)
Most of LEGO’s retro-inspired gaming sets are high-end builds with relatively high piece counts — and so they cost a lot of money. I’m talking sets like LEGO PlayStation , LEGO Arcade Pinball Machine , and LEGO Pokémon: Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise (and before you say it, LEGO Game Boy is the exception that proves the rule, folks). The LEGO Arcade Machine set, a smaller and more affordable option compared to other retro-inspired gaming sets, is currently on sale at LEGO for $31.99, down from $39.99. This 468-piece set is retiring soon, so it won't be available for long. It comes with a Nintendo-inspired top-down shooter called Space, and includes a minifigure of a teenage slacker with two coins that can be inserted into a slot.
The arcade cabinet opens like a book, revealing a detailed gamer's room with a couch, mini arcade machine, CRT television, posters, trophies, and more. With the current 2X Points promotion, buying the set will earn 416 LEGO points instead of the usual 208. This is a cool, nostalgic set that's perfect for display on your gaming desk or bookshelf.
