Apple has announced the third release candidate (RC) for macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 and macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, alongside the first RC for macOS 27.2 Golden Gate. This follows a weekly pattern of releasing RCs for older macOS versions before their official release. The third RCs for Sequoia 15.8.2 and Tahoe 26.7.2 are currently in the final stages, with Apple focusing on security enhancements and recommending them to all users. Apple typically discloses the specific fixes included in an RC after its official release, which is expected to coincide with the release of macOS 27.2 Golden Gate in the coming weeks.
The release build numbers for the third RCs are 24H230 for macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 and 25G330 for macOS Tahoe 26.7.2.
