The Chiefs’ Revival Has Given the NFL Its Marquee Team Back
With Mahomes back, they’re 5-0.
The Kansas City Chiefs have made a stunning comeback, reclaiming their status as the NFL's premier team. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is back to his former glory, making precise throws and leading the team to a dominant 22-6 victory over the Chargers. Tight end Travis Kelce is dazzling with his catches, even catching the eye of pop star Taylor Swift, who was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium.
Coach Andy Reid is orchestrating the team's success, bringing him closer to Don Shula's record of most coaching victories. The Chiefs' winless 2025 season came to an end with this impressive performance, as they now boast a perfect 5-0 record. Mahomes had a stellar game with 272 passing yards, while Kelce contributed four catches.
The team's defense was instrumental, and running back Kenneth Walker III added to the excitement with two touchdowns, marking his Super Bowl MVP performance for the Seahawks. The Chiefs' resurgence has captured the attention of fans, leading to increased viewership numbers for the NFL. With prime-time games still to come, including matchups against the Seahawks, Bills, Rams, and Patriots, the Chiefs have the potential to become the talk of the town and boost NFL viewership to new heights.
