Selangor Amanah leader Abbas Azmi has urged Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari to replace Umno's Noorazli Said as the Dengkil constituency coordinator following the Umno chief's controversial remarks. Noorazli was charged in court for allegedly wounding religious feelings with a joke involving Catholic clergy, which he delivered at the Umno general assembly in September.

Abbas, the Selangor Amanah communications director, emphasized that such behavior should not be tolerated as it infringes upon Malaysia's multicultural society. The controversy surrounding Noorazli's remarks has sparked calls for a review of Pakatan Harapan's relationship with Umno and Barisan Nasional, given the political leader's involvement in various contentious incidents.
