October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and digital healthcare platform myAster has launched an initiative to support women in getting a free mammogram. The campaign, 'Walked for Her,' partners with Aster Clinics UAE and encourages participants to log steps through the myAster app. For every 10,000 steps logged, women receive a free mammogram screening.
Over 19 million steps have been logged, resulting in 1,900 free mammogram screenings across the UAE, with 236 screenings already claimed. Screenings can be booked until December 31, 2026, through the myAster app. Participants are also encouraged to share their stories and nominate women they are walking for using the hashtag #WalkForHer.
Additionally, Pink Caravan clinics will be present in various locations in the UAE during October to raise awareness and promote community well-being.
