Japan Motors donates five motorcycles to support 42nd National Farmers’ Day

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Ghana has announced that the Japan Motors Trading Company Limited has donated five branded motorcycles to support the 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebration. The donation, disclosed in a press release on Monday, October 19, 2026, has earned the company the status of a silver sponsor for the event.

The Ministry expressed its deep gratitude to the company for its commitment to supporting the celebration and promoting agricultural development in Ghana. The donation, according to the Ministry, acknowledges the pivotal role played by farmers and fishers in national development. It serves as a prime example of private-sector backing for agricultural promotion initiatives.

The Ministry urged other corporate organizations, financial institutions, development partners, and individuals to contribute to the upcoming celebration. The annual event serves as a national platform to recognize the tireless efforts and achievements of farmers and fishers. Their contributions are integral to food security, employment generation, and overall economic growth in Ghana.

The 42nd edition of National Farmers’ Day is scheduled to take place later this year. Japan Motors' donation is one of several corporate sponsorships being sought to bolster the event's organization. The Ministry is actively encouraging more private-sector participation to ensure the success of the 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebration.
