Bears QB Caleb Williams Reveals Unexpected Motivation Behind Falcons Win
Caleb Williams had a surprising source of extra motivation before returning to help the Bears defeat the Falcons.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams returned to action on Sunday, leading his team to a 31-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The 4-2 Bears starter completed 30 of 36 passes in a strong performance. After the game, Williams discussed his motivation for the return on a live video chat with NBC Sports' Maria Taylor. He revealed that he watched John Wick films to get in the right mindset for the game.
Williams mentioned that his friend, a fan of the movie series, reached out to Keanu Reeves, who portrayed the character John Wick. Impressed by Reeves' fanatical admiration for the franchise, Williams felt more motivated and confident in his abilities. The Bears' victory keeps them competitive in the NFC North, where the Minnesota Vikings remain undefeated.
Williams faces the New England Patriots in the upcoming Thursday Night Football game, with hopes to secure a second straight win.
