A$AP Rocky’s Hallucinatory ‘Shroom Clouds’ Video Appears to Tease ‘Don’t Be Dumb – Disc 2’ Release Date
Disc 2 is on the way.
A$AP Rocky launched the promotion for his Don’t Be Dumb – Disc 2 deluxe album on October 16, releasing the single "Shroom Clouds." Three days later, a surreal music video accompanied the dreamy track. Collaborating with Aisultan Seitov and Pietro Biz Biasia, Rocky takes viewers on a psychedelic journey above the clouds to a smoker's haven in the clip.
Dressed in a yellow fur hat and surrounded by beautiful women, Rocky engages in friendly conversation during a picnic and relaxes in the grassy fields. After another puff and passing the blunt to someone's grandmother, Rocky returns to New York City's concrete jungle. Some eagle-eyed fans might have spotted a police car crashed into a wall, emblazoned with an October 30 decal, possibly hinting at the Disc 2 release date.
When queried by Billboard about Disc 2's release date, Rocky's representatives encouraged fans to wait for more information. "Shroom Clouds" has its roots in 2021, when Rocky performed the song at a 420 Weedmaps event and Governors Ball. The ethereal tune resurfaced during his set at Amazon Music Live in 2022. Rocky's first album in eight years, Don’t Be Dumb, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in January, marking his first No. 1 in over a decade.
He concluded the European portion of his Don’t Be Dumb World Tour on October 11 and will be touring New Zealand and Australia in December. Watch the "Shroom Clouds" video below.
