Yashasvi Jaiswal To Mohammed Shami: Aakash Chopra Raises Questions Over Team India's Selection For New Zealand Series; VIDEO

Former India cricketer and sports commentator Aakash Chopra raised six concerns about Team India's selection for the upcoming ODI and Test series against New Zealand. Chopra questioned why Yashasvi Jaiswal has not yet been included in the ODI squad, despite his strong performances when given opportunities. He also highlighted Ishan Kishan's elevation to vice-captaincy, suggesting the selectors view him as a potential leader.

Samson's absence from the ODI squad perplexed Chopra, as several other wicket-keeper options were unavailable. The former India cricketer questioned India's shift away from Ravindra Jadeja, who has had limited involvement in recent ODIs. Chopra also expressed disappointment that Aaqib Nabi was left out of the Test squad, despite domestic success.

Finally, he emphasized that Mohammed Shami's absence from the selection was particularly disappointing, as the experienced fast bowler was presented with a significant opportunity to return to the Indian team during the New Zealand tour.
