Kevin Kisner criticized Rory McIlroy’s decision to play in the DP World India Championship, suggesting McIlroy's claims about growing the game were motivated by money. Kisner noted that many players likely received appearance fees and stated he would have done the same if invited.
McIlroy responded to the criticism following his tied 42nd place finish in India, where he ended 17 shots behind winner Eugenio Chacarra. McIlroy stated he did not see the comments and questioned why his presence in India was a subject for Kisner to comment on.
