Telugu association celebrates Bathukamma, Dasara in California

The Women Empowerment Telugu Association (WETA) celebrated Bathukamma and Dasara in San Ramon, California, unifying the Telugu community to honor its rich cultural traditions. Notably, Telangana MLA N. Padmavathi Reddy graced the occasion as the chief guest. Women participants skillfully crafted bathukammas, floral arrangements adorned with vibrant flowers, and immersed themselves in the festivities by singing songs and reminiscing their life in Telangana before migrating to the United States.

The celebrations underscored the unity and commitment to preserving Telugu cultural heritage among the diaspora, as emphasized by Congress leader and NRI Jhansi Reddy. The program featured a special performance of Mogudzpellamz, presented by Bobby and Chandu. Organized under the umbrella of WETA, this event aimed to promote women's empowerment and Telugu cultural heritage in the United States.
