Samini explains why he avoids X Spaces, TikTok Live sessions

Ghanaian dancehall artist Samini revealed his aversion to participating in X Spaces and TikTok Live sessions during the launch of the Samini Xperience 2026, Dansoman Edition. The seasoned musician explained that these platforms can expose him to disrespect and potentially harm his well-established brand. Samini made this statement at the event on Friday, October 16, 2026, as he prepares to perform his signature concert in Dansoman during the holiday season.

The award-winning artist acknowledged that while new methods of communication must be embraced, not all approaches are prudent. He reminisced about the pre-social media era, when fans had limited opportunities to interact directly with their favorite musicians, often only attending concerts to see them. Samini contrasted this with the current situation where, thanks to social media, fans can easily communicate with celebrities online, sometimes even making disrespectful comments they wouldn't dare say in person.

He cautioned that the rise of social media allows individuals to approach celebrities online and make remarks that could be detrimental to an artist's public image and reputation. Samini emphasized that such interactions could provoke artists into responding in ways that might ultimately damage their hard-earned brand. While he didn't completely rule out participating in X Spaces or TikTok Live sessions, Samini stated that he would carefully assess potential engagements and select participants who could add value to discussions and contribute positively to projects or initiatives.
