A rare white python was spotted outside Radio Colony in Chhatarpur, triggering panic among residents late Friday night. The large snake was safely rescued by local snake rescuer Sarpamitra Aakash Rathore, who reached the spot at around 11 pm after being contacted by residents. Rathore noted the python's unusual white colour, suggesting it could be an albino python, and highlighted the challenge of the rescue due to the snake's size and heavy body.
The origin of the exotic Burmese python species is currently under investigation by forest officials, who aim to determine how and when the snake arrived in Chhatarpur.
