Leeds draw feels like ‘fresh start’ for Man Utd’s Carrick
Michael Carrick saw positive signs in the hard-fought 1-1 draw, even as the club's winless run stretched to six matches in all competitions.
Manchester United secured a 1-1 draw against Leeds at Elland Road on Sunday, marking a match that felt like a "fresh start" for the club, according to manager Michael Carrick. Despite the draw, United's winless streak remained at six matches across all competitions. Leeds' Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalized Bryan Mbeumo's first-half goal, extending the Red Devils' losing run.
Carrick, starting Lisandro Martinez due to a thigh injury, acknowledged the team's determination and the importance of each player's effort. The United boss emphasized that while the situation was not perfect, he remained optimistic about the team's potential for a positive run. United will look to kickstart their Premier League campaign at home to Bournemouth, following a previous Champions League win against Sabah.
