Harrisburg, SF Christian & James Valley Christian also win state titles
Four teams capture 2026 South Dakota state high school soccer championships at the Allen Mitchell Athletic Complex in Watertown.
Watertown's bid for its first-ever state championship was thwarted by top-seeded Sioux Falls Lincoln in a dramatic penalty-kick shootout on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Patriots secured their sixth state title overall, with senior goalie Opland Sonnichsen making a clutch save in the shootout. Sioux Falls Lincoln will add to its rich history of state titles, while Watertown hopes the victory marks a new beginning for their soccer program.
