General : Dept Heads Should Leverage Hybrid Workday Policy, Adapt To Haze Conditions
KUALA TERENGGANU, Oct 18 (Bernama) -- Department heads in the public service sector can leverage the Hybrid Workday (HBH) Policy to adapt to haze conditions in their respective states.
KUALA TERENGGANU, Oct 18 — The Hybrid Workday (HBH) Policy, implemented by the Public Service Department (PSD), can be utilized by department heads to navigate haze conditions in their states, according to Director-General Tan Sri Dr Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz. Wan Ahmad Dahlan emphasized that department heads should employ appropriate methods within the HBH framework to ensure that work deliverables or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met for all civil servants.
He highlighted that the current haze situation has coincided with the implementation of the Hybrid Workday. The director-general stressed the importance of establishing KPIs to maintain output even when working in a hybrid manner during haze conditions. The SBP programme took place in Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus today, attended by Terengganu Federal Development Department director Datuk Abdul Kahar Abdul Latif.
During the event, Wan Ahmad Dahlan presented cash contributions and basic necessities to three retired government servants: Soh Kim Seah, 90; Rosnani Abdullah, 73; and Mohd Saadum Che Embong, 69. The special financial assistance of RM750 for over one million government retirees, as announced in Budget 2027, further demonstrates the government's concern for the contributions made by retirees to national development.
Wan Ahmad Dahlan emphasized that retirees' contributions throughout their years of service are of immense value and should not be forgotten, highlighting the 'Santuni Pesara' programme as an initiative to honor their contributions.
