HYDERABAD: Chief Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput of the Sindh High Court unveiled a series of development projects in the Jamshoro district within a mere six months, fulfilling pledges he had made during his previous visit to the area. During a gathering at the district bar association on Saturday, Rajput was joined by fellow judges and prominent figures from the bar and senior legal professionals.
Praise was heaped upon the Chief Justice, the Access To Justice Programme, and their respective teams for their swift completion of these initiatives. The chief justice revealed that solar power installations, e-libraries, women facilitation centers, improved waiting areas, meeting rooms, and gender-segregated washrooms had been set up in Jamshoro.
Accompanying these changes were 12 kilowatt solar systems, e-libraries, women facilitation centers, waiting areas, meeting rooms, separate washrooms, two air conditioners, eight water coolers equipped with filtration, and an RO water plant. In Sehwan, a 6 kilowatt solar system and in Manjhand and Thana Bula Khan, 3 kilowatt systems have also been installed.
Rajput emphasized the importance of clean drinking water, recalling a seven-year-old incident where a man and his children were seen searching for water around Jacobabad district's courts during the scorching summer. In response to the bar association's request, the Chief Justice promised to start the expansion works at the Jamshoro District Bar Association office and provide a vehicle parking facility in Manjhand.
Plans are also being considered for installing two more solar systems within the Jamshoro judicial complex and providing additional water coolers.
