Barca defenders Garcia, Kounde injured before key games
Both players finished the 5-2 win over Real Betis with discomfort ahead of the Clasico against Real Madrid and the Champions League clash with PSG.
Barcelona defenders Eric Garcia and Jules Kounde have been injured ahead of crucial matches. Garcia, the Spanish centreback, will miss both games against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and Real Madrid in La Liga due to a thigh injury. He is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks. Right-back Kounde suffered an ankle sprain and will miss the trip to face Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, but his availability for the Clasico against Real Madrid on Sunday depends on the injury's progression.
Both players left Barcelona's 5-2 win over Real Betis in La Liga with discomfort. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain announced a defensive absence as well, with Portuguese left-back Nuno Mendes sidelined due to a knock sustained in their Ligue 1 match at Strasbourg.
