Arsenal snatch late win to keep pressure on Man City as Man Utd held

Arsenal secured a crucial 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, keeping up the pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester City. The goal came in the 80th minute from substitute Noni Madueke, who scored after a deflection off Jair Cunha. The victory moved Arsenal to second place in the table, just three points behind City, while Forest now find themselves in the relegation zone.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised his team's ability to grind out results even when not at their best, acknowledging the difficulty of the task against a well-coached Nottingham Forest. Meanwhile, struggling Manchester United suffered a 1-1 draw at Leeds, extending their winless run in the league. Leeds took the lead in the 35th minute through Bryan Mbeumo, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalized for United just before halftime.

United's manager Michael Carrick, who is in his first full season in charge, remained optimistic despite the result, emphasizing the need for improvement. Elsewhere, Brighton demolished Crystal Palace 5-0, while Bournemouth secured their first league win of the season with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Sunderland.
