2027: No vacancy in Aso Rock, North will vote 100% for Tinubu - Gov Yusuf

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has declared that the North will unequivocally vote for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections. At the inauguration of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) national headquarters in Abuja on Saturday, Yusuf emphasized a historical mutual agreement established in 1999 between the North and the South, which stipulates that the North should serve two consecutive terms in office.

This agreement, he claimed, was respected during the tenure of late President Muhammadu Buhari, who served for two consecutive terms from 2015 to 2023. Yusuf, referring to past leaders and elders in politics, stated that the North has no intention of breaking this promise, even if it goes against the constitution, as it is a matter of common sense.

He assured President Tinubu of the full support of all Northern states, democrats, and patriotic Northern states, vowing to give him an unqualified 100% vote in the 2027 elections.
