Xiaomi Launches Pocket Photo Printer With 313 DPI Prints and AR Videos

Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro Gift Box in China, priced at approximately $119. This bundle consists of the Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro in a unique light purple hue, a photo frame, and a carrying bag. The standard Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro, initially released for around $90, results in the Gift Box being about $30 pricier.

The Gift Box includes a photo frame capable of standing on a desk or attaching to a refrigerator via its built-in magnet. It also functions as a compact photo holder, capable of holding up to 20 prints. The accompanying carrying bag features individual sections for the printer and its consumables, ensuring they remain separated during transit.

The Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro employs dye-sublimation printing technology and generates images at 313 dpi. It supports a full spectrum of 16.7 million colors and 256 gray levels, enabling Xiaomi to accurately reproduce photo colors. Each photo is automatically laminated as it exits the printer, offering a protective layer against moisture and slowing down aging and fading.

The printer connects via Bluetooth 5.2, allowing up to three users to utilize it concurrently. Through Xiaomi's companion app, users can link a video or audio clip to a printed photo. Family and friends can scan a QR code linked to the print to view the video or hear the audio. The app also includes customizable borders, watermarks, filters, and collage templates for editing photos before printing.

The main distinction of the Gift Box lies in its exclusive light purple finish, photo frame, and carrying bag. Xiaomi has not disclosed the availability of this bundle outside of China.
