Xabi Alonso reaction — Chelsea boss on win at Everton, Emiliano Martinez injury
We'll share all of Xabi Alonso's words as soon as he speaks from Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso led his team to a 2-0 victory against Everton on Saturday, with Pedro Neto scoring both goals. The match was delayed for over 10 minutes due to goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez suffering an apparent head injury while parrying a free kick. Despite the scare, Martinez was able to continue playing, and his performance was complemented by Mike Penders, who also managed a clean sheet.
Jarrad Branthwaite required treatment for a head-to-head contact incident, but the extent of his injury remains unclear. Alonso's reaction to the match and Martinez's injury status will be revealed once he provides further comments from the stadium.
