Medeama SC's head coach Ibrahim Tanko is confident his team is prepared to face FC Samartex in an upcoming Ghana Premier League match. The defending champions are leading the standings with 14 points from six games, while Samartex sits third, three points behind. Both sides are aiming to strengthen their positions near the top of the table in Matchday Seven, which takes place at DUN’s Park on Sunday.
Tanko acknowledges the challenge of Medeama's impressive unbeaten start, stating, "We just had six games and we didn’t lose a game, so definitely we are one of the teams that everyone would like to beat." He also recognizes Samartex's quality and their coach's work, saying, "We are preparing very well. We know the venue we are going to is very tough to play at.
They have a very good team with a very good coach behind them." Medeama's goal is to extend their unbeaten run against a Samartex team hoping to leverage home advantage, with the match set to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
