During the 50th anniversary celebration of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Abuja, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu emphasized the importance of Christian unity in Nigeria. The President of CAN, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, called on the Federal Government to protect citizens, uphold the Constitution, and ensure accountability in the use of public resources.
Tinubu, as the special guest of honor, praised CAN for its 50 years of service, quoting biblical passages to stress the significance of unity among Christian denominations. Okoh urged the Church to advocate for justice, good governance, and the welfare of vulnerable citizens while maintaining a balanced relationship with the government.
The CAN president also highlighted the need for the Church to remain vigilant on key issues affecting Nigeria's well-being.
