North will give Tinubu more votes in 2027 — Shettima

Vice-President Shettima expressed confidence that Northern states would support President Tinubu with a higher percentage of votes in the 2027 presidential election compared to the 60.2% they contributed to his 2023 victory. At the commissioning of Arewa for Asiwaju, a northern support group, Shettima urged political leaders in the region to rally behind the President.

He praised the North's demonstrated trust in Tinubu's leadership, citing progress in security, economic opportunities, and poverty alleviation under his administration. Shettima emphasized that the North has nothing to fear about a second term for President Tinubu, stating that he has the North at heart. The upcoming agricultural meeting chaired by Shettima was highlighted as an opportunity for the North to further show its support for President Tinubu.
