2027: No vacancy in Aso Rock, North will vote 100 per cent for Tinubu - Kano Gov, Yusuf

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has declared that the North will unequivocally vote for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Speaking at the unveiling of the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) national headquarters in Abuja, Yusuf alluded to a historical accord between the North and South, which predates the current dispensation. According to Yusuf, this pact entailed the North securing two consecutive terms in office, a precedent that was upheld during the tenure of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.

Yusuf argued that there is no reason to breach this understanding, not even from a legal perspective, and instead, he implored that common sense dictates its respect. Addressing the assembled dignitaries, including former leaders, Yusuf pledged on behalf of all Northern states, democrats, and patriotic Northerners, that they extend their full backing to Tinubu. He praised Tinubu's performance, emphasizing that the North will not have a vacancy in the Aso Rock presidential residence.
